Principal Points

The morning drop-off procedure for car riders has started off smoothly.

There have been some updates to the ISMS Student Handbook. I encourage everyone to review its contents, as it addresses many questions families may have regarding attendance and cell phone policies.

All ISMS students have received their Chromebooks for the year. ISMS is offering device insurance; however, please note that if a student is negligent or intentionally damages a device, the insurance will not cover the repair costs.

To ensure consistency with CCHS, guests are not allowed to use DoorDash or bring fast food to students during lunchtime.

Students are also not permitted to bring caffeinated beverages to school in the morning.

Please refer to Skyward for grades and to check for any missing assignments. Students are expected to wear their IDs at all times during the school day.

Please remind students to represent ISMS positively at middle and high school after-school events and athletic contests. Let's make our community proud!

If your student has misplaced their ID, they can be purchased for $2. Additionally, replacement ID sleeves and lanyards are available for $1 in any grade-level office. It's great to be back for another fantastic year at ISMS!

The Indian Springs Annual 5K Run/Walk-A-Thon was on Monday, September 25th, 2025.

.Thank you to the following businesses that have contributed to the 2025 ISMS 5K!  Finish Line Club: Big G’s, Paige’s Crossing, and Team Mantra.

Guidelines for School Delays and Closings

REPORTING STUDENT ABSENCES

If a student is going to be absent from school, the parent or guardian should submit a Skyward absence request to report the reason for the absence. When a student returns to school, the parent or guardian must send a written note explaining the absence, unless the parent has already submitted the information in Skyward. Absence verification MUST occur within 24 hours of the absence, or it will be considered unexcused. Emails WILL NOT be accepted.

Make-up Work

Students must make up all work missed due to an absence. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange for making up the work. As a rule, the student will have the same number of days to make up the work missed as the length of the absence. In the case of a planned absence, arrangements to determine when the work will be due should be made before the absence.

When to Stay Home

It is WCCS policy that students should remain home until at least 24 hours after they are fever free (100.0 F or greater) without the use of fever-reducing medications. Students should also remain home if they exhibit signs of a contagious illness, such as rash or redness/drainage from the eyes, cough, diarrhea, and vomiting.
