Car Rider Procedures
REPORTING STUDENT ABSENCES
If a student is going to be absent from school, the parent or guardian should submit a Skyward absence request to report the reason for the absence. When a student returns to school, the parent or guardian must send a written note explaining the absence, unless the parent has already submitted the information in Skyward. Absence verification MUST occur within 24 hours of the absence, or it will be considered unexcused. Emails WILL NOT be accepted.
Make-up Work
Students must make up all work missed due to an absence. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange for making up the work. As a rule, the student will have the same number of days to make up the work missed as the length of the absence. In the case of a planned absence, arrangements to determine when the work will be due should be made before the absence.
When to Stay Home
It is WCCS policy that students should remain home until at least 24 hours after they are fever free (100.0 F or greater) without the use of fever-reducing medications. Students should also remain home if they exhibit signs of a contagious illness, such as rash or redness/drainage from the eyes, cough, diarrhea, and vomiting.
8th Grade is in for a great month in October. Please see below for upcoming events.
Please provide a driver's license for your Volunteer form and submit it to the middle school office. Volunteer forms will not be processed without a driver's license.
